Most basketball hoops let you to adjust the height of your rim from 7 as well as a half for the regulation height of 10 feet. On specific greater end basketball objectives, they may possibly be able to modify even decrease. However the method by which these systems modify can differ extensively.

Adjustment methods fall in two key categories: individuals that allow for six-inch increments and people that allow for “infinite” increments. A basketball rim that adjusts in six-inch increments can adjust at six points in involving 7 as well as a half and a 10 feet: 7.five, 8, 8.five, 9, 9.five and ten feet. With systems which might be infinitely adjustable, you happen to be in a position for making extremely tiny adjustments, like and inch or much less in case you so wish, which means you can set it at any point in between the minimum and maximum height.

I'm not sure if the New York Knicks have all the pieces in place right now, but by adding Carmelo Anthony they are certainly one big step closer to being a NBA championship contender. Although considering the mismanagement over the last 10 years it's heard to believe they won't mess this up too.

Watch for the Knicks to make some strong stragetic moves during this off season to sure things up and make them a true Eastern conference powerhouse.

New York NY Direct TV can bring you all the Knicks action you want.

Two cities that produce NBA Eastern Conference contenders also have the two teams that are favored to win the Super Bowl as the NFL playoffs are set to begin this weekend.

NBA spread betting experts might recognize that Atlanta and Boston produce two East contenders and with the Falcons and Patriots, both cities have the Super Bowl XLV juggernauts as well.

Just as in the NBA’s East, Atlanta’s team is viewed with an eye of pessimism. The Falcons had a great regular season but don’t have a ton of playoff experience. They’re a young squad that is gaining it on the fly.

Meanwhile, Boston’s team - just like in the NBA – is experienced, savvy and has done it before. The Patriots are the odds-on favorites to do it all and considering they’ve won it three times this decade, why bet against them?

Basketball betting is not quite as common as betting on some other sports, but if you do your research, take your time and keep accurate records, there’s no reason you can’t be as successful at betting on basketball as betting on anything else. Here are a few tips to get you started.

Top Basketball Betting Tip: NCAA vs. NBA

Of course you are welcome to bet both college and pro basketball (including the WNBA), like placing your bets in online video poker games, you need to be aware that each type of basketball may have very different factors in play. In college basketball, every game counts, whereas pro teams can afford to drop a few games here and there and still have a great shot at the championship. There may be a much larger disparity between two competing college teams. Know the league you’re betting.

The Tennessee Titans made an outstanding pickup with the waiver claim for Randy Moss. Every other team in the National Football League passed on one of the most outstanding playmakers ever to play the game. His one-handed catch this year was unbelievable.

Moss will wear No. 84.

After passing on Moss in the 1998 draft, (how ridiculously outlandish was that) and going with Kevin Dyson, the Titans finally get to cash in on the skills of one of the best WRs ever. Randy Moss in college was as talented as Jerry Rice, eclipsing 3,529 yards and 54 TDs through 28 games over two years with the Marshall Thundering Herd.

Finishing his two-year career at Marshall having scored at least one TD in each and every game that he played, Moss was the player to pick up in the draft. And now the Titans have a shot to see his worth.

Anybody and everybody has the right to enjoy sporting events, without any regard to which team they root for.

It used to be commonplace for a fan of the opposing team to encounter brutal hell, unleashed by home team fans at a game. An Oakland Raider fan, as soon as entering Arrowhead Stadium (home of the Kansas City Chiefs), would become the victim of hatred from mobs of Chiefs fans.

The National Football League has decided in the last few years to make the environment at its sporting events less chaotic and uncomfortable. Fans of either side now has the ability to enjoy the game.

The Fans First Program along with Fan Code of Conduct Rules have been created, and its about time!!

One prime example is showcased at Arrowhead Stadium. Having attended a few games in the last year, I have noticed a dramatic difference in fan behavior. Many teams in the NFL have a program in place, hampering the amount of harassment at their games.

Let’s stop the whining and crying about how the National Football League is being to comforting of injured players, and too strict on head hunters. Yes, this goes out to Troy Polamalu, James Harrison and countless others.

Dirty players should get smacked with heavy fines. PERIOD. No further discussion needed. A helmet hit is not needed to perform the abilities as a defender. Every player, in the NFL especially, should know how to hit the correct way (with their shoulder pads).

Its not impossible to see when a player is aiming to “down” a guy by using their helmet as a weapon. The NFL is not targeting players simply due to their popularity. Defenders are being punished the same, whether a rookie or a veteran.

Most flak from the side of defenders has been from the Steelers.

I really like the direction this team is going but I'm not so sure they can really be a contender in the East this year.  The East has gotten a lot stronger over the last few years and while I think they can make the playoffs I don't really see any chance that they can really beat The Magic, the Heat, the Celtics, of the Bulls.  And I'm skeptical they can even beat teams like the 76ers or the Hawks.

What do you think?

How many years have we seen the Lions fall to the second or third worst team in the leauge in the last 20 years? 20 years that's how many but what if that changed this year. It will the Lions are making moves that the Lions never make like drafting a good quarterback! No not the Lions they don't know how to draft. They did last year and hiring a coach for defense wow impressive they haven't stoped anyone since 1945. While I am still holding my breath they are getting better personal wise and I hear people talking about them actually winning a few games this coming up season so who knows!

Can the Detroit Pistons ever get back to the way they use to be? My anserw is yes! How can they do that, it starts with the guards. With the championship team the Pistons had three guards that could defend and shoot. Now they have five gaurds and only two of which can defend and one that is getting old (Hamilton). They have to draft a young point guard that is a true point guard and work on Stuckey at the two spot. Or even make a trade for rookie sensation Collison who is going to want a starting job and won't find one in New Orleans. We have some guys down low that can last for a run to the playoffs next year but with Ben Gordon taking crazy shots and no point guard they don't have a chance next season. you trade Ben Gordon to the Hornets for Collison and they have a point
